Significance: This study suggests that miRNA-127, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of tumor suppressor ARF/p14. Given that ARF/p14 is one of the most mutated/deleted tumor suppressor gene in human cancer, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-127 or its activators“ may be used to inhibit tumorigenesis and metastasis.
