Significance: This study suggests that MiRNA-10a, by down regulating its target gene, it may improve hippocampal synaptic dysfunctions. Thereby, it may alleviate pathological symptoms associated with Alzhemer’s disease. Together, this study suggests that pharmacological formulations encompassing MiRNA-10a or its activators may be used to treat Alzhemer’s disease.
