Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, MiRNA-125a-5p, by suppressing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of tumor suppressor INK4a/ARF. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-125a-5p or its activators” can be used to inhibit the progression of human tumors.
