Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that MiRNA-145, by suppressing the expression of  its target gene, it may increase the expression of RNA polymerase I. Thereby, it may increase the proliferation of cancer cells. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-145 activators”  can be used to inhibit the progression of human cancers.
