Significance: This study suggests that tumor suppressor MiRNA-22, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of tumor suppressor LKB1. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-22 or its activators“ may be used to treat LKB1-mutated human tumors.
