Significance:  This study suggests, for the first time, that MiRNA-203, by inducing the expression of its target geneit may increase the expression of ADAR1.  Thereby, it may inhibit melanoma progression. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-203 or its analogues” may be used in the treatment of melanoma.
