Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that MiRNA-375, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may inhibit ageing-associated cognitive decline and neurodegeneration. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “miR-375 activators” may be used to inhibit ageing-associated cognitive decline and neurodegeneration.
