Significance: This study suggests that Endothelin-1, by increasing the expression of its target gene,  it may aggravate pulmonary arterial hypertension. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing ” Endothelin-1 inhibitors may be used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension.
