Significance: This study suggests that MiRNA-22, by down regulating the expression of its target gene, it may inhibit the development of pulmonary arterial hypertension. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-22 inhibitors” may be used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension.
