Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that MiRNA-25, by suppressing the expression of its target gene, it may inhibit cerebral ischemia induced injury.  Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-25 or its activators  may be used to inhibit cerebral ischemia induced injury.
