Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that MiRNA-126, by suppressing the expression of its target gene, it may decrease the expression of Low density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 6 and promote weight loss. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-126 activators“ may be used to promote weight loss.
