Significance: Remarkably, over 90% human tumors over express telomerase, suggesting that inhibition of its activity may inhibit the proliferation and progression of human tumors. Thus, this study suggests that pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-494 or its activators“ can be used to treat human cancers.
