Citation: Boominathan, Molecular therapy for acute respiratory distress syndrome: GATA-binding factor 6 inhibits acute lung injury via down regulation of its target gene, 15/April/2015, 22.04, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that GATA-binding factor 6, by suppressing the expression of its target gene, it may inhibit acute lung injury. Thereby, it may inhibit the progression of acute respiratory distress syndrome. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “GATA-binding factor 6 activators“ may be used to inhibit the progression of acute respiratory distress syndrome.
