CitationBoominathan, Molecular therapy for Cancer: Menin (MEN1) suppresses the expression of 6-phosphofructo-2-kinase/fructose‑2,6-bisphosphatase-3 (PFKFB3) and inhibits proliferation, migration, and invasion of cancer cells via up regulation of its target gene, 13/February/2015, 23.29, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org

Significance: This study suggests that Menin, by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may decrease the expression of PFKFB3. Thereby, it may inhibit proliferation, migration, and invasion of cancer cells. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Menin activators”  can be used to inhibit the progression of human tumors.
