Citation: Boominathan, Molecular therapy for Cancer: Tumor suppressor MiRNA miR-29c suppresses the expression of immortality gene telomerase via down regulation of its target gene, 30/January/2015, 18.14, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that miR-29c, by suppressing the expression of its target gene, it may decrease the expression of telomerase. Thereby, it may promote tumor suppression. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing ” miR-29c or its activators” may be used to inhibit the progression of tumors.
