Significance: This study suggests that Angiopoietin-like protein 1, by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may promote insulin sensitivity. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Angiopoietin-like protein 1 suppressors“ may be used to increase insulin sensitivity.
