Significance:  This study suggests, for the first time, that Lin-28, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may inhibit early pregnancy loss, while promoting fetal growth. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Lin-28 activators” may be used to protect pregnant women from miscarriage, while promoting fetal growth.
