Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that CDX2, by suppressing the expression of its target gene, it may inhibit cerebral ischemia induced injury. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “CDX2 activators  may be used to inhibit cerebral ischemia induced injury.
