Significance: Agaricus Blazei Murrill,  by increasing the expression of its target genes, it may decrease the expression of stem cell enriched protein, Oct4 and the cell cycle regulatory protein, Cyclin E. Thereby, it may inhibit stemness in head and neck squamous carcinoma. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Agaricus Blazei Murrill” may be used to inhibit the progression of head and neck squamous carcinoma.
