Citation: Boominathan, Natural product-based anticancer therapy: Ursolic acid, enriched in apples, increases the expression of tumor suppressor Sprouty Homolog 1 via down regulation of its target gene, 21/March/2015, 22.51, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that Ursolic acid, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of tumor suppressor Sprouty Homolog 1. Thereby, it may inhibit cancer development. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Ursolic acid or its analogues” can be used to inhibit the progression of human tumors.
