Citation: Boominathan, Natural product-based anticancer therapy: Ursolic acid increases the expression of DNA repair protein MSH2 via down regulation of its target gene, 8/March/2015, 22.49, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that Ursolic acid, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of MSH2. Thereby, it may promote DNA repair and inhibit cancer development. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Ursolic acid or its analogues” can be used to inhibit the progression of human tumors.
