Significance: The study presented here suggests that American ginseng, by increasing the expression of its target genes, it may suppress the expression of actin-regulatory proteins FHOD1 and PPM1F. Thereby, it may inhibit migration and invasion of metastatic cancer cells. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “American ginseng or its analogues” may be used to inhibit the progression of invasive tumors.
