Citation: Boominathan, Natural product-based antimetastatic therapy: Luteolin suppresses the expression L1CAM via up regulation of its target gene, 1/February/2015, 22.16, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that Luteolin, by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may inhibit the expression of L1CAM. Thereby, it may inhibit the migration and invasion of prostate cancer cells. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Luteolin or its analogues” can be used to inhibit the progression of metastatic human tumors.
