Significance: This study suggests that (6)-Gingerol, by increasing the expression of its target gene, it inhibits the replication of Enterovirus 71. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “(6)-Gingerol or its analogues” may be used to inhibit the replication of Enterovirus 71.
