Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that Serum response factor (SRF), by increasing he expression of its target gene, it may suppress the expression of ADCY5/AC5 expression. Thereby, it may extend the lifespan of an individual. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Serum response factor (SRF) activators” may be used to extend the life-span of an an individual.
