Citation: Boominathan, Natural product-based therapy for B-cell cancer: Cirsilol (3′,4′,5-trihydroxy-6,7-dimethoxyflavone), a flavone isolated from Achillea fragrantissima, suppresses the expression of FOXP1 and inhibits Wnt/β-catenin signalling via up regulation of its target gene, 07/February/2015, 07.55 am, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that Cirsilol, by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may inhibit the expression of FOXP1. Thereby, it may inhibit Wnt/β-catenin signalling that promotes tumor B-cell proliferation. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Cirsilol or its analogues” can be used to inhibit B-cell cancer.
