Significance: NF-KB, by increasing the expression of its target miRNA, it may: (1) decrease the expression of tumor suppressor LKB1; and (2) promote cancer stem cell proliferation. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing ” NFKB inhibitor” may be used to treat cancer.
