Significance:  This study suggests, for the first time, Nonivamide, by suppressing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of tumor suppressor p53. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Nonivamide or its analogues”  can be used to inhibit the progression of human tumors.
