Significance: Triptolide, by suppressing the expression of its target miRNA, it may: (1) increase the expression of tumor suppressor LKB1; and (2) inhibit cancer stem cell proliferation. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Triptolide or its analogues” may be used to treat cancer.
