Significance: PTEN is the second most mutated gene in human cancer.  EGCG, by suppressing the expression of its target gene, it could induce the expression  of PTEN.  Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Epigallo-3-galectin  or its analoguges” can be used to treat PTEN-mutated human cancers.
