GBMD Director-cum-Chief-Scientist Dr L Boominathan PhD reports that GATA-4 promotes cardiomyocyte protection by suppressing its target gene. Furthermore, Dr Boominathan identifies the mechanism through which GATA-4 promotes cardiomyocyte protection. This study suggests that “GATA-4 activators” may protect an individual from myocardial infarction.
