Prof. Dr Roberts and co-workers from  National Cancer Institute, USA had reported in the high profile journal “Science Reports” (2013) that “Blockade of CD47 increases survival of mice exposed to lethal total body irradiation”

On the foundation of this interesting finding, Dr L Boominathan PhD, Director-cum-chief Scientist of GBMD, reports that: Radiomitigation: Cirsiliol, a flavone isolated from Achillea fragrantissima, promotes the radiation resistance of soft tissues and bone marrow via down regulation of CD47  [ Cluster of Differentiation 47/Integrin associated protein].
