Significance:  This study suggests, for the first time, that Neurotensin, by decreasing the expression of its target geneit may suppress the expression of TNFAIP3.  Thereby, it may promote NFKB signalling and tumor progression. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Neurotensin inhibitors” may be used in the treatment of cancers.
