Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that Endothelin-1 (ET-1), by increasing the expression of its target gene,  it may suppress the expression of ADCY5/AC5. Thereby, it may extend the lifespan of an individual. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing Endothelin-1 (ET-1) activators may be used to extend the life-span of an an individual.
