Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that Sirtuin-2 may extend the lifespan of an individual by suppressing ADCY5/AC5 expression. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Sirtuin-2 activators“ may be used to extend the life-span of an an individual.
