Citation: Boominathan, L., Small RNAs can make you taller: MiRNA-27 increases the expression of Growth hormone (GH) via down regulation of its target gene, 19/May/2015, 10.11 am, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance:
This suggests, for the first time, that MiRNA-27, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of Growth hormone (GH). Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-27 or its activators“ may be used to treat disorders associated with growth hormone deficiency, including dwarfism.
