Significance: CDX2, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of cell cycle protein Cyclin C. Thereby, it may increase human pancreatic β-cell proliferation. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “CDX2 activators” may be used to increase functional β-cell mass in DM.
