Significance: This study suggests that Ras responsive element binding protein, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may inhibit Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells Senescence and the expression of senescence-associated pro-inflammatory proteins.  Thereby, it may inhibit arterial ageing and ageing associated-cardiovascular diseasesThus, this study suggests that pharmacological formulations encompassing Ras responsive element binding protein activators may be used to prevent arterial ageing.
