Significance: This study suggests that Interferon regulatory factor-7, by down regulating the expression of its target gene, it may inhibit the survival of Neurons. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Interferon regulatory factor-7 inhibitors” may be used to treat: (1) hypoxic-ischemic brain injury ; (2) Stroke; (3) Multiple sclerosis; and (4) Alzhemer’s disease.
