Significance: This study suggests that RREB, by up regulating the expression of its target gene, it may promote survival of Neurons. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “RREB activator” may be used to treat: (1) hypoxic-ischemic brain injury ; (2) Stroke; (3) Multiple sclerosis; and (4) Alzhemer’s disease.
