Significance: This study suggests that Yin Yang-1 (YY1), by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase HDL-C levels. Thereby, it may decrease the chances of developing cardiovascular disorders. Thus, this study suggests that pharmacological formulations encompassing “Yin Yang-1 (YY1) or its activators“ may be used to increase HDL-C levels.
