 Significance: This study suggests that 1α,25-dihydroxyvitamin D(3), by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase bone mineralization. Thereby, it may increase bone density and prevent bone loss. Thus, this study suggests that pharmacological formulations encompassing 1α,25-dihydroxyvitamin D(3) or its analogs may be used to increase bone mineralization.
