 Significance: This study suggests that stress-induced gene MiRNA-218, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may decrease  the lifespan of  males.  Therefore, this study suggests that pharmacological formulations encompassing AntagomiR-218 or small molecule compounds that inhibit the expression of miR-218″ may function as a longevity promoter.
