Undisclosed information: A mechanistic insight into how MiRNA-183 decreases fetal growth

Significance: This study suggests, for first time, that MiRNA-183, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may decrease nutrient supply from mother to fetus, thereby decreasing fetal growth.  Together, this study suggests that pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-183 inhibitors” may be used to increase fetal growth.
