Significance: This study suggests that p53, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may decrease the expression of HSF1/HSP70i chaperone.  Thereby, it may promote the development of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Thus, this study suggests that pharmacological formulations encompassing “p53 inhibitors” may be used to inhibit the disease pathology of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
