Significance: This study suggests that  Curcumin, by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may decrease the expression of a number of extracellular matrix genes. Thereby, it may inhibit the progression of pulmonary fibrosis. Thus, this study suggests that pharmacological formulations encompassing “Curcumin or its analogues” may be used to inhibit the progression of fibrotic diseases.
