Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that Garlic, by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may attenuate the defect in neuromuscular junction (NMJ) transmission and myasthenia. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Garlic or compounds isolated from garlic” may be used to in the treatment of neuromuscular disorders.
