Significance: This study suggests that RREB, by regulating the expression of its target gene, it may increase the levels of HbF. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “RREB activator” may be used to treat: (1) Sickle cell disease ; (2) β-thalassemias; and (3) disease conditions that has lower levels of HbF.
