Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that Acarbose may increase the expression of PDLIM5. Thereby, it may inhibit pulmonary hypertension. Together, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Acarbose or its analogues“ may be used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
