Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that Vitamin-E, by suppressing the expression of its target gene, it may inhibit cerebral ischemia induced injury.  Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Vitamin-E or its analogues  may be used to inhibit cerebral ischemia induced injury.
